Interview with Mark Norman our Senior Recruitment Consultant | Engineering Division
OUR INTERVIEW WITH MARK NORMAN ONE OF OUR SENIOR RECRUITMENT CONSULTANTS WHO RECENTLY JOINED THE MILLS RESOURCES TEAM OF CONSULTANTS IN JANUARY 2018
Why and how you arrived at Mills?
I decided to join Mills Resources due to their professionalism, old-school values and great team spirit they so clearly demonstrated and after some interviews with various recruitment organisations I was presented with, I truly felt they stood for my personal and professional values and were my clear and much preferred choice.
Why you chose or found yourself in recruitment?
Like a lot of people I kind of fell into the industry. I’m very much a people’s person and after working within Real Estate early in my career I felt my technical and people skills were easy to transfer across to the recruitment industry, with a passion for construction too combining the two was easy.
The benefits and your requirements of working from home?
Working from home isn’t for everyone. However, I find it very beneficial in helping you focus and concentrate on the job in hand while working to a personal/professional structure each day. The flexibility to come into the office as and when I feel I need to pays dividends.
Your values and ethics towards your line of work and the company you work for?
I have very strong work ethics and old-fashioned values professionally and personally with dealing with both clients and candidates. I feel strongly this is in line with Mills Resources.
Any other interesting facts?
Communication is key both with candidates and clients; whether you’re delivering good or bad news to either party they will always come back to use you again and again. A lot of people miss this simple step but keeping in touch and updating people makes all the difference.
